Olsgaard sets diving record, Yeutsy wins two events in Coe dual

INDIANOLA, Iowa — Naomi Olsgaard set a school record in 1-meter diving and Brenna Yeutsy won a pair of freestyle races in the Simpson swimming and diving team's dual against Coe on Friday night at Indianola YMCA.

Coe won the dual 142-80 as the Storm raced in front of the home crowd for the first time in 2017-18.

Olsgaard scored 163.85 points in the diving competition, breaking the record of 159.30 set by Makenzie Carson in 2014-15. The junior finished second in the event to Coe's Erin Horton by just 7.4 points.

Yeutsy took home wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle, touching the wall in 2:05.40 in the 200 and in 5:46.49 in the 500.

Yeutsy's win helped Simpson finish 1-2 in the 500 freestyle as Cheyenne Wiederholt took the silver in 5:55.39.
