Williams-Yee, Yeutsy lead Storm to finish sixth at Grinnell Invitational

GRINNELL, Iowa — Mikala Williams-Yee and Brenna Yeutsy led the Simpson women's swimming and diving team to a sixth place finish on the final day at the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The Storm concluded the meet with 349 points, remaining in sixth place out of 10 teams. Grinnell won their own invite with 1301 points.

Simpson's best performance of the day came from Williams-Yee in the 100 breaststroke. She finished in a time of 1:14.07 and placed seventh.

Yeutsy's eighth-place finish had the second best performance of the day for the Storm touching the wall in 2:08.38 in the 200 freestyle.

Katie Cardoza recorded the best time this season in the 400 IM for the team. She finished the race in a time of 5:40.27.
