IIAC Performers of the Week

In her first collegiate competition, Hoferitza-Palermo won the 200 butterfly and the 200 backstroke in the Nebraska Wesleyan and St. Mary (Neb.) double-dual, swimming two of the fastest times in school history in the process. She also took second place in the 200 IM and helped the 200 medley relay to a second-place finish as the Storm beat Nebraska Wesleyan 149-87 and St. Mary 177-68.

A freshman from Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Hoferitza-Palermo swam the 200 butterfly in 2:31.45, the No. 3 time in school history. She swam the 200 backstroke in 2:25.05, the No. 4 time in school history.

The last time a Simpson women's swimmer won the weekly accolade was in January of 2014.

Hoferitza-Palermo and the Storm travel to Iowa Lakes CC for a dual on Saturday, Oct. 22.
