INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson women's swimming seniors made a statement for their last career home meet, defeating Iowa Lakes Community College 151-37 on Saturday.

"We tried a few swimmers in some new events," head coach Tom Caccia said. "The meet posed some opportunities for us to switch the line-up a little bit and I was pleasantly surprised with our results."

Seniors Alex Vander Veen and Haley Blum swam one last time in front of a home crowd for the Storm.

Senior Haley Blum won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.78. Blum teamed up with the other women's senior, Alex Vander Veen, Maren Hoferitza-Palermo and Cassie Bergman and won the 200 medley relay in 2:03.41.
