Defender Lauren Stillman represented Simpson on the All-IIAC Second Team while forward Amber Johnson and goalkeeper Stephanie Cox were honorable mention picks.

A freshman from West Des Moines, Iowa (Valley), Stillman started all 21 games in the back for the Storm. In a season defined by injuries, Stillman managed to stay healthy for the entire season and solidify the last line of defense.

A junior from Grinnell, Iowa (Grinnell), Johnson also earned honorable mention honors a year ago. She led Simpson in points (14) and goals (6) for the second year in a row, while starting all 21 games. Johnson scored goals in each of Simpson's conference wins, netting two in a 3-2, come-from-behind win over Buena Vista on Oct. 5. Johnson will enter her senior season with 20 career goals.

A sophomore from Dubuque, Iowa (Hempstead), Cox led the Iowa Conference a set a school single season record with 148 saves in her first year between the posts. She made 10 or more saves five times, including a season-high 17 against Augustana (Ill.) on Sept. 7. The former forward earned IIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 20 after turning in a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Coe on Oct. 19.

The Storm went 4-16-1 overall in 2013, finishing sixth in the Iowa Conference with a 2-4-1 mark in league play. Head coach Ryan Sander's squad qualified for the IIAC Tournament with the sixth seed, falling to third-seeded Dubuque in the first round.
