FULTON, Mo. – Rachel Muse accounted for every goal scored and the Simpson women's soccer team beat Westminster (Mo.) 3-1 on Monday afternoon.
A freshman, Muse scored a goal and assisted on two others as the Storm (2-5) won their second game in a row.
Muse assisted Amber Johnson in the 28th minute for the first score of the game and gave Simpson a 2-0 lead just over five minutes later when she scored her goal.
Leading 2-1 at the half, Kate Morford put the game away when she found the back of the net in the 51st minute. Again, Muse was credited with the assist.
Stephanie Cox made two saves in the win as Simpson outshot Westminster 20-8 on the day.
Adrienne Ebersole scored the lone goal for the Blue Jays (2-3-1).
Simpson will look for its third win in a row when it hosts Grand View at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
