Storm women take second in weather-shortened tourney

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Simpson College women's golf team placed second at the Graceland Spring Invitational, despite weather limiting the event to one round.

The Storm had to battle through terrible conditions even during the one round of play, but the team still managed to carve out a second-place finish in the seven-team tournament. Simpson placed four golfers inside the top 10, all part of the team's scoring lineup. Waldorf won the event, but the Storm were close behind in second, one of two teams under 400 for the round.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Storm have now taken second place in back-to-back tournaments.
