Deppe’s career day guides Storm in final tune-up

LAKE MILLS, Iowa - Miranda Deppe fired a career-best round of 84 for her best individual placing to guide the Simpson College women's golf team in its final tournament before the American Rivers Conference Championship.

Deppe was the top Storm performer across both Simpson teams. Simpson Red took fourth with a score of 350, while Deppe led Simpson Gold to seventh place and a score of 372.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Deppe's 84 was two strokes better than her previous career-best at Simpson.
The sophomore tied for seventh individually, her best career finish and her second career top 10 finish.
Madeline Streicher was one stroke behind Deppe, being the top performer on Simpson Red.
Streicher finished just outside the top 10 in a tie for 12th.
The fourth place finish tied Simpson's best finish at a tournament this year.

UP NEXT
The Storm begin the three day A-R-C Championship on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 7. The tournament will be held in Ames, Iowa at Ames Golf and Country Club.
