Women’s golf takes eighth position in preseason poll

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Simpson College women's golf team checked in at eighth in the American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced Wednesday by the conference office.

The team is poised to take a strong leap this season, with all six members of last year's squad returning. Coach Jeremy Johnson has also added four freshmen, making this the largest roster since the 2017-18 season. "I'm excited to get the 2023 season underway," said Johnson. "We return all six of our players from last year and will be welcoming four new freshmen with the potential to contribute right away to this year's roster. Having a young nucleus in place really helps our culture as we move forward."
