DMR finishes third at Division III Elite Championships

WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Simpson College men's track and field distance medley relay broke it's own school record in the second consecutive week to end third at the Division III Elite Championships on Friday, hosted by Wartburg College.

The quartet of James Murray, Max Cleveland, Clay Billheimer and Spencer Moon crossed the finish in 10:12.81, nine seconds quicker than last week's second-place performance at the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships. Today's time resulted in the Storm's best result on day one.

Cleveland qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.55 to finish third. Audrey Arnold paced the women by earning a spot in the finals as well in the 60-meter hurdles after clocking a time of 9.41.
