Holmes awarded D3football.com Team of the Week honors

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- A day after being selected as the American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Simpson football's Brendan Holmes was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

The senior was voted in from his safety position after helping lead the Storm to a 27-23 victory over Chicago on Saturday inside Buxton Stadium.

A-R-C play begins this week as Simpson (1-1) travels to Dubuque (1-1) for a 6 p.m. showdown this Saturday.
