Simpson drops two on first day in Wisconsin

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Simpson College volleyball team dropped both of its opening matches at the Wis.-Rivers Falls Tournament on Friday, losing a hard-fought, five-set battle to Saint Benedict before being swept by the hosts.

GAME ONE SUMMARY
Saint Benedict edged Simpson 27-25 in the first set, but the Storm came back and won the next two 25-22 and 25-19. The Bennies took the fourth set 25-20 and used an early advantage in the fifth to secure a 15-10 victory for the match win.

GAME TWO SUMMARY
Wis.-River Falls hit .309 compared to Simpson's .022, cruising to set victories of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-15. The Falcons tallied 41 kills, 10 aces and three blocks in the win.
