WAVERLY, Iowa -- In the first of two tough matches against top American Rivers Conference foes this weekend, the Simpson College volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to No. 5 Wartburg on Friday night.
The undefeated Knights (23-0, 7-0 A-R-C) used set scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-19 to earn their 14th sweep of the season.
Jessica Jacobs and Courtney Paxton were the top offensive weapons for Simpson (7-10, 4-2 A-R-C) in the loss. Jacobs hit .304 to tally nine kills and Paxton collected seven kills while swinging at a .316 hitting clip.
Iman Ghalibaf totaled 15 digs on defense and Marissa Salber dished out 21 assists.
