La CROSSE, Wis. -- The Simpson College volleyball squad ended its second tournament of the season on Saturday. The Storm lost 3-0 to both Hamline and Elmhurst in the Wisconsin-La Crosse Invitational.
Junior Jessica Jacobs was named to the All-Tournament team after tallying 32 kills through the four matches the Storm (3-6) played in.
Hamline 3, Simpson 0
Set Scores: 19-25, 14-25, 15-25
Against the Pipers, Jacobs paced the offense with eight kills. Sophomore Iman Ghalibaf recorded 15 digs.
Sydney Larson clubbed 12 kills to lift Hamline, while Megan Rubbelke, Rachel Rettmann and Julianna Boyum all had seven kills.
Elmhurst 3, Simpson 0
Set Scores: 21-25, 18-25, 20-25
The Blue Jays collected 48 kills during the match and hit .256, including a clip of .457 in the second set.
Junior Marissa Salber dished out 17 assists and had 10 digs for the double-double during the tournament finale.
