INDIANOLA, Iowa - Elly Leyva scored the game's only goal in the final minutes and St. Catherine spoiled Simpson's home-opener 1-0 on Sunday evening.
The Storm (0-2) appeared well on their way to a second overtime contest in as many days before Leyva collected a rebound in the box and found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
Simpson's back line had a busy day, facing 19 shots from the Wildcats (2-0). Kristin Riley made eight saves in goal to lead a defense that held its own for most of the day.
Kim Boehm - who left the game with a head injury - took both shots for Simpson. Her best look came mid-way through the second half when she fired a shot from 25-yards out that carried wide left.
