WAVERLY, Iowa – Meredith Harrison scored the lone goal of the night as the Simpson women's soccer team lost to Wartburg 5-1 on Saturday.
Harrison took a feed from Mackenzie Stump in the 32nd minute, pulling the Storm (4-13, 0-6 Iowa Conference) within 2-1 at the break.
Second-half goals from Alyssa Drewelow (55'), Madison Astgen (75') and Olivia Jansen (87') helped the Knights (12-4-1, 5-1) pull away.
Kristin Riley made 11 saves in goal for the Storm, who were outshot 35-6.
