Teams give back for Campus Day, Division III Week
INDIANOLA, Iowa - In conjunction with Division III Week and Simpson College's annual Campus Day activities, several Storm teams grabbed rakes, brooms and bags of mulch and participated in community service on Wednesday, April 6.
Since beginning in 2010, Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with a Division III institution to observe and celebrate the impact athletics and student-athletes have on campus and in the surrounding community.
Here's the teams that participated in the Campus Day festivities:
Women's Golf: Performed yardwork for Indianola residents (pictured)
Football: Cleaned up brush, yard waste at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center
Volleyball: Performed yardwork around campus
Women's Soccer: Held a one-day youth soccer camp for a local elementary school
Men's and Women's Basketball: Deep-cleaned bleachers in Cowles Fieldhouse
Wrestling: Removed litter on a section of Hwy 65-69 outside of Indianola
Men's and Women's Cross Country: Performed yardwork for Indianola residents
