Johnson scores golden goal in Simpson win

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Amber Johnson scored the game-winner just over five minutes into overtime and the Simpson women's soccer team beat Coe 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

"The girls yet again showed great resilliency as we continue to get the tough wins," head coach Ryan Sander said. "It was a great individual effort by Amber to get the game-winner."

After ending regulation 0-0, Johnson scored her third goal of the season at the 95:22 mark. Jess Toyne assisted on the goal.

Kaylee Weems made seven saves in goal for the Kohawks (5-3-1, 0-1).
