Simpson earns come-from-behind win over Nebraska Wesleyan

DECORAH, Iowa – The Simpson College men's wrestling team picked up its first American Rivers Conference victory of the season with a come-from-behind 25-24 win over Nebraska Wesleyan at the A-R-C duals.

The Storm trailed the Prairie Wolves 18-10 through six matches, but won three of the last four to come out on top 25-24. Caden Elliott ignited the comeback with a pin over Braike Jones in 4:29 and Shane Mathias followed with a slim 2-0 decision at 197 pounds. Troy Galloway gave the Storm just what they needed for victory with a pin of Tashaud Nelson in 4:06.

Galloway and Mathias also won their matches against Loras to finish the day 2-2. Simpson fell 49-0 to No. 20 Luther, 54-0 to No. 5 Coe, and 40-9 to Loras.
