Women’s golf ends day two of A-R-C Championship

AMES, Iowa -- After the second day at the American Rivers Conference Championship, the Simpson women's golf team is in sixth place with a two-day sum of 718. As a team, the Storm shot a 361 Sunday afternoon.

Hannah Gordon is in sixth place after shooting an 85 on day two and has a two-day mark of 167 to pace the squad. Emily Jansen is tied for 21st and carded a second round score of 90. Haley Booton is tied for 24th with a tally of 181. Booton clipped a 91 on the second day.

Madison Hance is in 28th place accompanied by a scorecard of 192. Kelsey Poppe raked six shots off her previous day by shooting a 95. Poppe is in 30th and has a total of 196.

Simpson resumes competition tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Ames Golf & Country Club for the final round of the A-R-C Championship.
