Storm place fourth at BVU Fall Invite

STORM LAKE, Iowa -- With a total scorecard of 704, Simpson women's golf placed fourth out of the 11 teams this weekend at the Buena Vista Invitational.

Senior Hannah Gordon finished second overall individually with a tally of 163. Gordon clipped an 81 on day one then carded an 82 on day two. Next up for the Storm was Haley Booton. Booton recorded a two-day sum of 172 to tie for 12th and shot eight strokes better than her first day.

Another Simpson player to improve their score was Kelsey Poppe, who sliced 12 shots off her second day scorecard. Also in contention for the women's golf team was Madison Hance, Emily Jansen and McKala Downing.

The Storm will return to the links this Wednesday to host the Simpson Invitational at Indianola Country Club.
