Hance fires career-low to lead Storm at Sail Classic

DIKE, Iowa -- Madison Hance fired a career-low 75 in the opening round of the Sail Classic to finish in second place, just one stroke behind the leader on Saturday at Fox Ridge Golf Club.

To start out the 2019-20 season, Hance is followed closely by classmate, Hannah Gordon, who sits tied for fifth with a 78. The duo helped the Storm sit in sixth place in the nine team event.

Emily Jansen shot an 89 in the opener, with Haley Booton near her teammate with a 91. McKala Downing rounds out the golfers for Simpson with a 109 in her first collegiate match.

The Storm continue action tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Dike, Iowa at Fox Ridge.
