Storm capture first at Graceland Invitational

LAMONI, Iowa -- The Simpson women's golf team brought home first place with a team total of 344 on Saturday at the Graceland Invitational.

Hannah Gordon led the way for the Storm with a score of 82, placing her tied for fourth in the overall rankings. Right behind her was senior Madison Hance in sixth. Hance carded an 84, clipping a stroke off her season best from last year (85).

Another top-10 finish for Simpson was Emily Jansen. Jansen finished tied for ninth with a scorecard of 88. Every member of the team finished within the top-20 of the total rankings out of 37 golfers with Haley Booton (14th) and Kelsey Poppe (19th) rounding out the Storm golfers.

The team will be back in action next Friday and Saturday in Storm Lake, Iowa for the Buena Vista Invitational.
