Storm improve on final day of Wartburg Fall Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Simpson women's golf team shot 12-strokes better on day two of the Wartburg Fall Invitational to gain a place and finish 16th Sunday afternoon.

Of the team's five golfers, four of them took shots off their scorecard from yesterday's performance. Hannah Gordon led the team to finish tied for 40th after shooting a two-day total of 159. Haley Booton added an 82 today to end tied for 66th, while Madison Hance chipped in an 80 for a two-day sum of 170 to come in tied for 81st.

Emily Jansen finished fourth on the team for the Storm, while Kelsey Poppe closed with a season-best 91 this afternoon.

Simpson returns to the links this weekend for the Graceland Invitational. Competition starts on Saturday at Lamoni Golf Course.
