Booton excels in Central’s Battle at Bos Landen

PELLA, Iowa -- The Simpson women's golf team competed in a three-team match play tournament in the Battle at Bos Landen hosted by Central. Along with the Storm and Dutch, Luther took part in the unique formatted tournament.

Simpson competed against Central twice, yesterday and today to close out the two-day affair. On Sunday, the Dutch edged the Storm 3.5 to 1.5 in the five-player match. Haley Booton won at the No. 4 position and Hannah Gordon halved at the No. 1 position to fill out the scoresheet.

Today, both teams had the same fate and Central won 3.5 to 1.5 once again. Booton went 3 and 2 at the No. 4 slot to prevail and Kelsey Poppe halved the No. 5 position.

Against the Norse, Simpson lost 3 to 2 on Sunday. Madison Hance had a score of 3 and 2 to win at the No. 2 position and Booton tallied a win at No. 4.

The Storm return back on the course to host the Simpson Invitational on Wednesday at Indianola Country Club. The match will begin at 10 a.m.
