Gordon paces team to fourth at Simpson Invite

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson women's golf team had to battle windy conditions on Wednesday at the Indianola Country Club to finish fourth in its own invitational.

The Storm shot a 392 at the Simpson Invite, just two strokes shy of tying second-place Des Moines Area Community College and four away from tying second-place North Iowa Area Community College. Graceland ran away with the title with a 374.

Hannah Gordon led the team with a 92 to finish tied for seventh. Emily Jansen was just behind her teammate tied for 14th with a score of 98. Haley Booton carded a 100 and Madison Hance fired a 102 to round out the scoring for Simpson.

The Storm are back on the links on Sunday in Fort Dodge, Iowa for the Iowa Central Spring Invitational.
