Morrow named to All-IIAC Second Team

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Following a breakthrough season, Simpson sophomore Noreen Morrow earned a spot on the 2015-16 All-Iowa Conference Women's Basketball Second Team, as voted on by the league's coaches. Senior Mackenzie Haupt took home honorable mention honors.

A post from Lake Park, Iowa, Morrow led the Storm in scoring and rebounding after appearing in just 10 games as a freshman. Standing 6-feet, 2-inches tall, Morrow averaged 11.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 51-percent from the field. She was especially effective against the Iowa Conference, putting up 13.6 points and 7.8 boards. Morrow posted a team-high six double-doubles, including a 21-point, 11-rebound effort in a win over Coe in January.

A 5-7 guard from Clarion, Iowa, Haupt came in as an honorable mention pick to the all-conference team after averaging a career-high 11 points per game in 2015-16. She finished second on the team in scoring and 3-pointers (33) while leading the team with 55 steals, good for second in the Iowa Conference. Haupt was a Second Team All-IIAC pick a year ago.

The Storm went 15-11 in 2015-16, including an 8-6 mark in the Iowa Conference. Simpson lost to Buena Vista in the first round of the IIAC Tournament.
