White named IIAC Performer of the Week
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Simpson men's soccer player, Mitchell White, earned Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Performer of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 22.
A junior forward from Decorah, Iowa, White finished the week with nine points on four goals and one assist as Simpson notched a 4-0 win over Westminster (Mo.) on Monday and a 5-1 win over Grinnell on Wednesday. White had a goal and an assist against Westminster before knocking in three goals against Grinnell.
White's hat trick against Grinnell is the second of his career, making him only the sixth player in Simpson history to record multiple hat tricks. He now has 26 career goals, tying him for sixth on the school's all-time list.
White and the Storm (6-0-1) put their undefeated record on the line Wednesday when they host AIB at 7 p.m.
