Storm suffer setback at Luther

DECORAH, Iowa - The Simpson men's soccer team spotted Luther three goals in a 3-1 loss on Saturday.

Saul Rosales needed only 2 minutes and 12 seconds to get the defending conference champion Norse (8-4-2, 2-3 Iowa Conference) on the board. Oket Dakawa-Agyekum made it 2-0 with his goal in the 26th minute and Jon Gednalske added a third score, his coming at the 63:04 mark.

Louis Joslyn scored the lone goal for the Storm (9-6-1, 2-2-1) on a helper from Garryson Ridgely.

Luther controlled the pace in the first half, out-shooting Simpson 16-11. The Storm held a 7-6 edge in the second half but couldn't dig out of the hole.

Tommy Breen made five saves in goal for Luther and Luke Aronow made two for Simpson.

Simpson plays AIB College of Business on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in non-conference action. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
