Simpson goes 5-1 at Lindenwood Duals
ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Simpson College women's wrestling team won five of six duals at the Lindenwood Duals on Sunday.
The Storm (5-2) collected wins over Westminster (22-18), Eureka (41-12), Ozarks (39-12), Fontbonne (48-0) and Quincy (30-17).
Kyla Pattillo went 5-0 on the day with a 10-4 decision over Lila Eckert (Westminster), a 10-0 technical fall over Ilee Basaldua (Ozarks), a pin over Madison Wilcox (Quincy) in 0:58 and two forfeits.
Jenna Joseph and Yalixza Gonzalez also had five victories throughout the day. Joseph recorded a 12-4 decision over Anna Stephens (Westminster) to start the day and then had a pair of 11-0 technical falls in the Ozarks and Quincy duals as well as a couple of pins against her opponents from Eureka and Fontbonne. Gonzalez registered four forfeits and a quick pin over Isabella Cruz of Ozarks (0:37).
Priscilla Gonzalez had a team-high two pins to go with a decision and a forfeit at 143 pounds. Kyla Revels also went 4-2 and claimed the Storm's fastest fall of the day, pinning Maria Valeria Estrada Cordero's shoulders to the mat in 26 seconds. Frankie Graham won her final four matches of the day thanks to two pins, a 12-7 decision and a forfeit.
Kylie Rae Torres and Kari German both tallied three victories. German registered two 10-0 technical falls and pinned Anastasia Georges (Fontbonne) in 5:48.

The Storm are off until Dec. 10 when they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa for the William Penn Dual Tournament.
