Alva, Pattillo claim fifth at Waldorf Open
FOREST CITY, Iowa – Isabella Alva and Kyla Pattillo both claimed fifth place at the Waldorf Open on Saturday.
Pattillo pinned her way to a fifth place finish, going 3-2 on the day. She made quick work of Lindsay Mills (Missouri Baptist) with a pin in thirty seconds and then pinned Jazmyn Knutson (Indian Hills) in 1:29 to advance to the semifinal round. After a couple of technical fall losses, Pattillo capped the day with a pin in 5:07 over Indian Hills' Sabrina King.
Alva secured a pin over Minot State's Angelina Garcia to take fifth. Her first collegiate victory came in 2:31.
Jenna Joseph picked up three more wins to improve to 7-3 on the season. Her day was highlighted by a pin over Elise Falcetti of Missouri Valley.
Kyla Revels also tallied multiple wins, earning a pair of 10-0 technical falls.
