Storm finish season in match against Grand View

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The Storm fell to Grand View on Wednesday at their meet in West Des Moines. Though the Storm lost, they played close matches and highlighted their day with strong singles and doubles performances.

In singles competition, Grace Peck defeated her opponent in quick fashion, winning in a 6-0, 6-0 shutout. Hannah Roth fell in her singles match, but pushed the competition into extra points with a 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 finish. Anna Schewe and Gema Gonzalez also were defeated in their matches, but both competitors pushed their matches into extra points.

In doubles competition, Hannah Roth and Grace Peck put together an impressive 6-0 performance to defeat their opponents in a strong showing. Gema Gonzalez and Anna Schewe fell in their doubles match 6-0 against Grand View.

The Storm's match against Grand View rounded out their spring season, and they will return in the fall of 2025. The team graduates one senior, Anna Schewe.
