Storm start season strong with 5-2 win over Ripon
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's tennis team kicked off the 2024-25 season on a high note, defeating Ripon 5-2 in their opening match.
The Storm (1-0) handed head coach Nicole Berger the first win of her tenure behind a strong showing in singles play. Bella Tranquilino, Grace Peck, Savana Walls, Coilee Hynek and Maggie Hall all won their singles matches, with three of those coming via tiebreaker victories.
Anna Schewe and Maggie Hall teammed up to win their first doubles match of the year 6-2, but Ripon (0-2) claimed the overall team doubles point thanks to victories at the No. 1 and 2 slots.
