Storm fall in close match against Neb. Wesleyan
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Storm women's team fell in a close conference matchup on Friday. In their third American Rivers Conference matchup against Nebraska Wesleyan, Simpson lost a strong-fought competition 4-3.
In singles competition, senior Bella Tranquilino defeated her opponent in extra points (6-2, 7-5). Sophomores Grace Peck and Coilee Hynek also defeated their opponents in their singles matchups. Grace Peck won 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 and Coilee Hynek won by default.
In doubles competition, Simpson fell in their matches, however Bella Tranquilino/Grace Peck and Savana Walls/Coilee Hynek performed best on the team with 6-2 scores in each of their matches.
The matchup against Nebraska Wesleyan brings the Storm to 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in A-R-C play.
