Seven wrestlers place at Coe Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Simpson College men's wrestling team had seven individuals earn placings at the Coe Invitational on Saturday.

Ethan Riesselman paved the way with a fourth place finish at 141 pounds, going 3-2 overall. Kanin Hable (125), Noel Torres (149), Trey Kellow (165) and Caden Elliott (174) all claimed sixth place, while Shane Mathias (197) earned seventh and Jonathan Casuas (174) finished eighth.

Owen Willers and Trace Goemaat both made their season debuts in the 285 pound bracket, winning their first matches of the season. Willers picked up a pin over Evan Sparenberg (Ill. Wesleyan) and Goemaat defeated Abdullah Razzak (St. Ambrose) 12-3.
