Simpson approved as official USA Wrestling Regional Training Center
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Simpson College is proud to announce its recent approval as an official USA Wrestling Regional Training Center (RTC).
As part of the RTC system, Simpson will provide Olympic Hopefuls and youth athletes within a 250-mile radius access to Luther Hill Wrestling Center inside Hopper Gymnasium for year-round training and development. Furthermore, the Storm RTC will provide additional opportunities for Simpson wrestlers to advance their skills alongside some of the best college wrestlers and coaches in the area.
The purpose of USA Wrestling RTCs are to help individuals reach their highest human and athletic potential. These centers provide qualified youth athletes and Olympic Hopefuls access to elite level coaches, high level training partners and world class facilities in a safe local environment (USA Wrestling RTC Mission and Purpose Statement, 2024).
A valid USA Wrestling card will be required and wrestlers must meet at least one of the USA Wrestling RTC criteria.
