McChesney places sixth at NCAA Regionals

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Dylan McChesney capped off his sophomore season with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Lower Midwest Regional on Sunday for the Simpson wrestling team.

After finishing yesterday with two victories, the 125-pounder McChesney looked to keep the momentum going to advance to the NCAA Championships to become the Storm's first wrestler to do so since 2007. McChesney dropped his first match and then his second by a slim 6-4 decision to land in the fifth-place bout. Loras' Matt Randone got the better of McChesney to secure the higher placing.

McChesney ended his season with 16 victories, passing his freshman mark of 14.
