Trio of gymnasts earn podium finishes at home
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's gymnastics team hosted Alaska Anchorage for its 2023 home finale and first Flip for a Cause meet on Friday evening. Avery Ingram was crowned the beam and all-around champion and Emma Tolbert posted an individual win on floor.
Morgan Svec added another podium finish for the Storm, placing second on vault with a 9.4.
Simpson finished the competition with an all-around score of 181.425, while the Seawolves compiled a 185.900.
The Storm's highest rotation score of the day was on floor (46.475), with Tolbert's 9.675 leading the way. Ingram led Simpson to a score of 45.625 on beam with a 9.6 and Annika Cole registered a team-best 8.775 on bars.
