Storm earn season-high 184.850 at Greenville

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Simpson College women's gymnastics team earned a season-high score of 184.850 in its Saturday evening dual with Greenville.

The Storm recorded season-high scores in three of four events, tallying a 47.950 on vault, a 43.550 on bars and a 47.525 on floor. Simpson registered a 45.825 on beam.

Kaelyn Tally and Brooklen Morgan both secured their first collegiate event title, with Tally winning the vault (9.750) and Morgan placing first on beam (9.700).

Along with Tally, five others recorded season-high scores on vault. Wynter Poolaw finished in second place with a 9.650, Bella Dix earned a 9.575, and Baily Tessena (9.550), Izzy Brown (9.425) and Avery Ingram (9.375) followed.

Simpson's floor and bar lineups also saw numerous season-bests. On floor, Bella Dix and Tally tied for third place overall with a 9.650, while Brown recorded a 9.350 and Morgan earned a 9.250. Annika Cole led the way for the Storm on bars by scoring a 8.950. Poolaw was next with an 8.850 and Morgan turned in a score of 8.450.

Greenville, which is also in its first season, compiled a team score of 186.675 to win the dual. The Panthers won bars (+2.1) and beam (+0.575), while the Storm were victorious on vault (+0.525) and floor (+0.325).

Simpson continues its season with a tri-meet in DeKalb, Ill. on Feb. 4. The Storm will take on Northern Illinois and Kent State.
