Simpson led by Tolbert, Ingram at Chow’s Winter Classic

DES MOINES, Iowa – Emma Tolbert won her second straight floor title, Avery Ingram was the all-around champion, and the Simpson College women's gymnastics team turned in a score of 180.150 on Saturday at Chow's Winter Classic.

Tolbert scored a 9.475 on floor to win the event for the second consecutive meet. Kaelyn Tally also had a podium finish in the rotation, placing third with a score of 9.400. Baily Tessena was close behind in fourth with a 9.325.

Ingram's all-around title was fueled by a second place finish on the beam (9.600) and third place finish on vault (9.275). She scored a 8.700 on bars and an 8.675 on floor to end the day with a 36.250 all-around mark.

Wynter Poolaw improved her vault score from last week by .125 to finish runner up in the event with a 9.400. On bars, the Storm were led by Avril Crespin's score of 8.900 that placed third.

Wis.-Eau Claire won all four events by 1.55 points or less, compiling an overall score of 183.575.
