Reinhart's late goal helps Storm earn point in IIAC play

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Trailing for most of the contest, Jeremy Reinert's first goal of the season tied the contest in the 84th minute as Simpson picked up a point in conference play with a 1-1 tie at Coe Saturday.

Reinert's diving header into the net came courtesy of a Corey Miller corner kick at the 83:56 mark. The two teams couldn't break into the scoring column in 20 minutes of overtime.

Coe's Shu Dohi scored his second goal of the season on an assist from Dan Luce in the 26th minute. Coe held the lead for 59 minutes and 24 seconds before Reinert evened the ledger.

The Storm (5-4-3, 2-2-1 IIAC) outshot the Kohawks (6-7-2, 2-2-1 IIAC), 9-8. All of Simpson's shots came in the second half and overtime. Simpson also attempted eight corner kicks, which also came in the second half and overtime.

Josh Youngman made two saves in goal for Simpson, as did Coe's Grady Brown.

Simpson will get a break from Iowa Conference play when it travels to Arden Hills, Minn. Monday to take on Minnesota Conference-foe, Bethel in a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
