Storm Golf Outing set for Aug. 9 at Indianola Country Club

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Simpson College athletics unveils a new format for its annual fundraising event. The Storm Golf Outing will take place Monday, Aug. 9 at the Indianola Country Club and a silent auction will occur Aug. 2-9, which moves to an online platform.

Simpson is still accepting golf teams for the event and registration costs include lunch, games and golf. To register and/or pay online for the event, click HERE.

The online silent auction will start at 10 a.m. the morning of Aug. 2 and closes 10 a.m. on Aug. 9. Director of Athletics Marty Bell will announce the winners prior to the shotgun start of the golf outing.

Items set to be auctioned off are the Lexus Champions for Charity event, which is a 54-hole event that spans three days while playing at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Links at Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill Golf Course from Dec. 8-12, 2021.

Participants can also bid on reserving the Sirianni Suite to watch a home football game against Central, Buena Vista and/or Wartburg and other items that include SAAC hours and youth camp packages.

An additional fundraising event that honors the late Wayne Carse '50 for his generous support of Simpson athletics will take place this coming January with details to be announced at a later date.
