Simpson holds steady in regional rankings

NEW ORLEANS - Both of the Simpson College cross country teams held their position in Week 2 of the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings.

Despite multiple changes around the top 10 on both sides, the women remained at No. 5, while the men held firm at No. 7.

Both squads have not competed since Sept. 9 at the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, with both teams taking second place. Spencer Moon also won the individual title, his eighth career cross country title, while being named the American Rivers Conference Runner of the Week for the second straight week.

The two teams return to the course on Sept. 30 to run in the Dan Huston Invitational, hosted by Wartburg.
