Ellingson qualifies for 1500 finals at nationals
CLAREMONT, Calif. – Catie Ellingson ran the third-fastest qualifying time in the 1500-meter preliminaries at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday.
A senior from Indianola, Iowa, Ellingson placed third in the fast heat of the 1500, running a 4:34.37. She led for most of the way, but coasted across the finish line to qualify for the finals.
With the result, Ellingson qualifies for the finals, which will be run at 4:50 p.m. (Central) on Saturday.
