Bak takes 12th in high jump at nationals
GRINNELL, Iowa – Simpson senior Kinsey Bak took part in the final NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship of her career on Friday, placing 12th in the high jump.
A two-time indoor All-American high jumper, Bak cleared 5-3 (1.60m) on her third attempt. She made three attempts at 5-5 but couldn't clear the bar.
Rose-Hulman's Elizabeth Evans won the high jump, clearing 5-10 1/2 on her first attempt.
Bak was Simpson's only representative at nationals. The Storm begin the outdoor season March 31 when they go to the Central Invitational.
