Storm ranked No. 9 in Central Region

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's track and field team dropped one spot to No. 9 in the most recent US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Central Region rankings.

The Storm accumulated 143.32 points, dropping a spot after coming in at No. 8 a week ago.

Wartburg (868.27) leads the region, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan (250.10) and Concordia College (215.94).

Rankings are determined by mathematical formulae based on national descending order lists from the current season and is a reflection of a team's all-around strength. The regional team index is scored using the current national-team ranking formula as if there were separate regional championships across the country.
