Simpson women swim season-best times

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- The Storm women's swimming and diving team finished second in four events, including two season-best races, as they lost to Morningside 156.5-43.5 on Saturday.

Alyssa Harris swam a season best for the Storm in the 100 butterfly, swimming a time of 1:06.24 to finish second. The mark bested her previous best time of 1:06.77 set during the Nebraska Wesleyan dual on Oct. 20. Harris, along with Cassie Bergman, Cheyenne Wiederholt and Brenne Yeutsy worked together to finish second in 200 medley relay.

Mikala Williams-Yee also clocked a season best for Simpson, swimming a 1.14.47 to place second in the 100 breaststroke. Williams-Yee also finished third in the 50 freestyle (28:27) and sixth in the 100 freestyle (1:03.49).

Simpson enjoyed a good race in the 1000 freestyle, as both Katie Cardoza (13:03.59) and Kristina Smith (14:08.89) finished with PRs. Jordan Yawn also swam a personal best to place fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 3:02.08.
