Strain resigns as head swimming coach

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Simpson College head swimming coach Aaron Strain announced his resignation on Monday, Aug. 6.

Strain spent five seasons at Simpson, four as the head women's coach and three as the head men's coach after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2007-08. He helped the women's team win a school-record three duals in 2009-10 and helped launch the men's program the same year. In all, he compiled a 7-18 record as the women's head coach and went 1-12 with the men.

The search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
