MBB Preview: Simpson travels to Coe for A-R-C contest

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Simpson College men's basketball travels to Coe on Saturday for an American Rivers Conference game that begins at noon.

Both teams suffered A-R-C losses on Wednesday. The Storm (0-3, 0-1 A-R-C) fell 88-72 at Buena Vista and the Kohawks (0-1, 0-1 A-R-C) dropped an 86-71 contest at Dubuque.

COE ATTENDANCE POLICY
All spectators that are invited to attend a home event will have secured that approval through their Kohawk or visiting team. All people permitted to attend will be on the pass list provided by those parties. Any further inquires about ticketing availability should be directed to the head coach or staff of your respective program. All venues will open 30 minutes prior to competitions.

COE SERIES NOTES
Simpson and Coe meet for the 95th time on Saturday as the Storm have won six of the last eight matchups in the series ... both teams split the series last year as the Kohawks won 80-60 in the latest meeting to snap Simpson's three-game winning streak against Coe ... the meetings have been close as of late, with five of those eight games being decided by eight points or less.

ABOUT THE KOHAWKS
Coe and ninth-year head coach Bryan Martin are currently 0-1 in the conference and overall after an 86-71 loss at Dubuque on Wednesday ... Jared Kruse paced the offense with 17 points and 11 boards, while Jake Eilers tallied 11 points ... as a unit, the offense shot 45.8% overall and 36.8% from deep.

LAST TIME OUT
Buena Vista increased a five-point halftime lead to win 88-72 over Simpson on Wednesday ... the Storm ended with a 40.6% shooting clip with 10 made triples, while Buena Vista connected on 14 long-range jumpers ... Collin Lister scored a career-high 30 points, which is his first time going over the 20-point mark ... Chris Honz added 16 points and Alec Hinson provided nine points off the bench.
