Ellingson, Bucklin advance to finals on day one
BEREA, Ohio - Catie Ellingson (Indianola, Iowa/Indianola) and Lauren Bucklin (Bondurant, Iowa/Bondurant-Farrar) advanced to the finals in the 1500-meter run and 400-hurdles, respectively, on day one of the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday.
Ellingson ran a 4:37.01 in the 1500, placing third in the preliminaries. Bucklin qualified for the finals in the 400 hurdles, running a 62.51.
Ellingson and Bucklin will both compete in the finals on Saturday. Bucklin competes in the 100-meter preliminaries Friday, Simpson's only event of the day.
